Helping IAYT Thrive is Worth the Effort
IAYT has many programs and services to be proud of, all primarily supported by membership fees. The membership base for our emerging field is small, however, and so your annual sponsorship will make
a difference. Click here to read the full article.
Sponsor an IAYT Program
Annual
sponsorships are for individuals and organizations that support the mission of IAYT
and would like to sponsor one of IAYT's major programs for one year or longer.
These include IAYT's professional publications,
our annual conference, developing educational standards and improving member services.
Sponsors
are recognized on the IAYT website for one year
with higher
levels of sponsorship more prominently displayed. In some cases, further recognition
comes along with the supported program, as described below. Individual sponsors
may opt to donate their space to a suitable worthy Yoga organization of their choice.
To become
a sponsor, or for more information,
please
contact IAYT's Executive Director,
John Kepner.

International Journal of Yoga Therapy
The only professional and scientific journal dedicated to Yoga as a healing practice.
This has been IAYT's flagship publication since 1990 and the 20th anniversary issue
will come out in 2010. This approximately covers the costs of printing, mailing,
and electronic hosting. Sponsorship includes one full page

One year's support for
developing standards for the training of Yoga therapists
This is an essential and long needed element for achieving IAYT's mission to establish
Yoga as a recognized and respected therapy. Sponsorship supports the engagement
of a highly regarded and experienced consultant for one year and a face-to-face
meeting of the standards committee. This also approximately matches the contributions
made by 47 IAYT Member Schools. After three years of careful preparatory work, and
two meetings with schools at SYTAR, IAYT selected an outstanding standards committee
in August 2009 composed of 11 leaders in our field representing many of the leading
Yoga therapy lineages and schools in the West. |

mailing, and electronic hosting, this supports printing extra copies to distribute
to students of Yoga therapist training programs, at Yoga conferences and to integrative,
complementary and alternative health care providers.

One year's support for
IAYT's membership in the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Healthcare
Membership in the ACCAHC (
www.accahc.org)
provides, for the first time, a voice for Yoga in the development of healthcare
policy and research priorities. Membership also provides valuable advice and perspective
from the more established CAM disciplines for IAYT's efforts to develop educational
standards appropriate for our field. With IAYT's encouragement, the Yoga Alliance
and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association have also joined ACCAHC. Collectively,
we are the Traditional World Medicine Group and ACCAHC provides a good structure
for all of us to work together. |
